Insurance industry in Central America is lagging: Fitch

Penetration of insurance services is very low, at only 2 percent, in Central America, according to Fitch Ratings.

Chile is the Latin American country with a penetration of 4.3 percent.

The Central American countries that have show an increase in sales of policies are Panama, Guatemala and Honduras.
