Inter-American Development Bank lends $70 million for highways in Panama

The Inter-American Development Bank announced a $750 million loan for the rehabilitation of highways in Panama.
 
Almost 80 percent of Panama’s roads lack proper maintenance, the bank says.
 
Of the credit, $10 million will be used for a pilot program to fix roads in the countryside.
