Investment funds pour billions of dollars into Colombia

Colombia has at least $2.2 billion in direct foreign investment ready to be used, due to the number of capital funds operating in the country.

There are currently 31 capital funds ready to invest in Colombia, from countries such as United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Spain, Canada and the United States.

Most are attracted to oil and mining companies, although with the country's recent free trade agreement with the U.S., there are now more opportunities for tourism, medical and microfinance companies, among others.
