Israel to boost trade with Colombia and Mexico

Monday, August 19, 2013

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made a strategic decision to act to significantly boost trade and economic ties with Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Peru.

The measure is also aimed at compensating for the weak economies of Europe, which are still Israel’s biggest trade partner.

In June, President Shimon Peres signed a free-trade agreement with Colombia after 15 months of negotiations.
