Japan and Panama reach deal on tax information

Japan and Panama have reached an in-principle agreement on concluding a bilateral treaty on tax information exchanges, the Finance Ministry said.

The agreement, reached in talks between the two countries, includes regular exchanges of information on financial accounts held by nonresidents to prevent tax avoidance, ministry officials said.
