JetBlue adds direct flight to San José, Costa Rica

US low-cost airline JetBlue is launching a daily nonstop service between Fort Lauderdale and the Juan Santamaría International Airport in San José, Costa Rica.

The company already flies to Liberia, Costa Rica out of New York City.

"Adding San Jose capitalizes on our success in South Florida with continued growth to a key Central America destination,” said Scott Laurence, vice president of network planning at JetBlue.
