Junk food tax plan heats up Costa Rican fiscal debate

The inclusion of a tax on plastic cups and ultra processed "junk food" have raised the temperature in the debate over Costa Rica's fiscal reform.
The proposals were rejected by the commission that is studying the fiscal reform, but the legislator who proposed them wants them to be resurrected in a plenary session.
