Latest increases in fuel prices expected to have knock-on effect in Panama

Thursday, March 10, 2011

After several days of carnival festivities, Panamanians have been faced with a new reality in the form of much higher fuel prices.

Several companies fear that a knock-on effect from the fuel prices will oblige them to increase what they charge for their products.

The surge in increases is similar to that of July 2008, when US marker crudes hit $147 per barrel.
