Lattes are coming! Starbucks arrives in Central America

Tuesday, August 17, 2010

After several years of trying to enter the Central American market, the US coffee chain Starbucks is about to open its first shop in El Salvador.

The opening is due by the end of this year. The franchise will be held by Corporación de Franquicias Americanas (CFA), which has a chain of Pizza Huts and other fast-food outlets.

After El Salvador, Starbucks will be looking to open in other countries of Central America.
