Legislators threaten to slash spending

If the Costa Rican government fails to reduce spending and keep the limits on its institutions, opposition deputies would opt the flow of resources that President Carlos Alvarado uses in order to fight the deficit.

The rescue plan that Rodrigo Chaves, the Finance minister, presented yesterday caused a mix of skepticism and annoyance, La República reports in Spanish.
