London looks to strengthen ties with Panama

Alderman Roger Gifford, Lord Mayor of the City of London, visited Panama this week in an attempt to boost business between both countries.

Gifford underlined the UK's interest in strengthening ties with Panama in banking, insurance, legal and maritime services.

"I think there is an opportunity for a strategic alliance that could bring our financial markets closer," he added.
