Low coffee prices worry Nicaraguan growers
Thursday, May 23, 2013
International coffee prices ended at $128.45 per quintal at the New York stock exchange.
The price doesn't even cover production costs, which are about $160 per quintal, said Nicaraguan farmers.
Coffee is going through one of the worst moments, and low prices are mainly due to Brazil's historic production levels.
