Maersk denies Nicaragua Canal support comments

Shipping firm Maersk denied a comment in a Danish news report that it supported the Nicaragua Canal project.

"We have insufficient information at the moment to be able to evaluate the Nicaragua Canal," the company said in a statement.

"In general, and as potential users of such infrastructure, we maintain a positive attitude towards the possibility of having several options for our business," the company added.
