Manitoba premier discloses stake in Costa Rica firms

Tuesday, May 31, 2016

Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister has publicly disclosed in the legislature his shares in two Costa Rican companies. A spokeswoman called Pallister's disclosure part of a move toward more openness and transparency in government.

Pallister disclosed his shares in two companies, Finca Deneter Doca and a numbered company — both of which the Costa Rica Star reported in April that Pallister used to purchase property and vehicles in Costa Rica, which is a common practice of foreign nationals.
