Monday, March 25, 2019

The Honduran in-bond assembly plants, known as maquiladoras, particularly those of the textile and  garment industries, are leading contributors to the nation's economic growth, the industry association says.

For this year, the association adds, investments are expected to be $300 million.

The maquiladoras experienced growth of 5 percent last year, including exports of $4.3 billion. These figures included automobile parts in addition to textiles, La Prensa reports.
