Maseca to close operation in El Salvador

Corn flour production firm Maseca, a brand by Mexico's Gruma, announced it will shut down its operations in El Salvador.

But the company will continue to sell its product nationwide, said Maseca El Salvador director Axel Villanueva.

The decision is part of the company's goal of making its operations more effective, which is why it will focus all its operations for Central America in one country, Villanueva said.
