Massive gas pipeline to Mexico faces delay

Thursday, October 4, 2018

Construction of a pipeline that is due to export from the US to Mexico has been delayed by bad weather and unspecified problems in Mexico.

What is known as the Valley Crossing Pipeline is to have a capacity of 2.6 billion cubic feet a day. It was meant to come on stream this month but has been delayed until April of next year, according to the constructor, Enbridge of Canada.

US exports of natural gas to Mexico have doubled since 2014.
