Mastercard opens regional headquarters in Costa Rica including pre-payment

Costa Rica is to house the Central American headquarters of Mastercard.

The card company is to open a permanent office in Plaza Roble, San José. The office will take charge of operations throughout Central America and Mexico.

The main objective of the new offices is to promote use of cards within the region, including those that offer pre-payment systems.
