Friday, November 19, 2010

Mauricio Funes, the president of El Salvador, categorically denied that there are any plans to remove the US dollar as the nation’s currency.

“We don’t have any intention of returning to when the dollar was introduced,” he said. “As far as I’m concerned, its a chapter that’s already been closed.”

Funes was responding to concerns among the business community that the government might be  reversing it policy.
