Mega-merger of beer giants leaves trace of froth in El Salvador

The $109 billion merger of the world’s beer giants, SABMiller and AB InBev has left a sequel in El Salvador. The nation’s leading distributor of beer, Industrias La Constancia, is going to be left with only 7 percent of the market.

The merger was approved this week by El Salvador’s regulator, follkowing similar decisions last year by regulators in Europe and the United States.
