Mega-ships and mega-income mark fiscal year for Panama Canal

Revenues of the Panama Canal closed at $3.37 billion during fiscal year 2019, an increase of 3.9 percent, reports the Panama Canal Authority .

Toll revenues, mostly driven by the container ship segment, were $2.59 billion. The rest was generated from other Canal businesses such as the production of drinking water, electric power and interest earned, Newsroom Panama reports.
