Mexican budget cut praised by analysts

 

Analysts praised the $8.3 billion reduction in Mexico’s government spending following the collapse of world oil prices.

“This was a preventive measure that allows for much less deep cuts,” said Marco Oviedo, chief economist of Barclays.
