Mexican builder ICA wins $219 million roads contract

Mexican construction company Empresas ICA said it won a government contract for $219 million to upgrade and maintain 797 kilometers of federal highways in northwestern Sonora state.

The contract from the Communications and Transport Ministry is for work over seven years and includes repairs, construction and maintenance of roads.

The roads include highways connecting the principal cities in Sonora, such as Hermosillo, Nogales and Puerto Peñasco.
