Mexican company Eolo to build 60-megawatt wind farm in Rivas, Nicaragua

Eolo, a Mexican-owned company, has been given authorization for the construction of what will be the third wind farm to be built in the Nicaraguan department of Rivas.

The farm will be only four kilometers from Amayo, Nicaragua’s first wind farm. Eolo will install 40 wind turbines to produce 60 megawatts.

Construction is planned for the third quarter. The 80-meter towers will be connected to the Amayo substation.
