Mexican industrial giant slashes jobs and budget

Mexican steel-maker AHMSA, an icon of the nation’s private-sector industry, announced a $250 million cut in its investment budget and reduced its workforce by 4,500.

The company said the problem has been caused by years of price-cutting by companies from Russia and China.
