Mexican remittances rose 6 percent through June

Remittances to Mexico grew 6 percent from January to June this year, compared to the same period of 2011.

The total remittances sent by Mexicans living abroad during this period was $11.85 billion.

In June alone, remittances reached $2.09 billion. BBVA says remittances could reach a new record in 2013.
