Mexico and China to further boost trade

Thursday, September 5, 2013

Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping agreed to further bolster trade during a meeting in St. Petersburg, ahead of a G20 summit.

The talks came after China allowed imports of Mexican premium tequila earlier this week.

"Based on this progress, the presidents agreed to continue promoting more opportunities for access for Mexican agricultural goods," the Mexican president's office said.
