Mexico-Colombia trade reaches $6 billion

Thursday, November 1, 2018

The trade relationship between Mexico and Colombia is growing markedly. Only a few years ago, the relationship between Mexican exports to Colombia and vice-versa was three to one.

Now, however, Mexican sales to Colombia are running at $4 billion while those of Colombia to Mexico are $2 billion.

Mexico and Colombia produce goods that are complementary, said Rodrigo Contreras, the representative in Bogotá of ProMéxico, and he predicts the trade will grow.
