Monday, August 4, 2014

Mexico is planning a passenger train service from Mexico City to the central state of Querétaro, that will travel at 300 kilometers per hour, the Ministry of Transport said.

The train, that would cover a distance of 210 kilometers and transport 23,000 passengers daily, will be the first of its kind in Latin America, the Ministry added.

The Mexican government will launch the tender for the project on August 15, and expects work to begin this year and the train begin operations in December 2017.
