Mexico's Maya Train attracts top companies

The Maya Train is the leading public works project of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador aims to reactivate the economy of southeastern Mexico. But environmentalists have criticized it and so do have financiers, who believe it could be a white elephant.

However, Rogelio Jiménez Pons, director of the National Tourism Fund, told the news agency Efe that companies interested in working on the project include Canada's Bombardier, Alstom of France, China Railway and Spain's CAF.
