Mexico's public building spending drops

Monday, August 5, 2013

Mexico's investment in public building dropped 6.7 percent during the first six months of the year, compared to the same period last year.

While the drop is a standard part of each new presidential term, it was still the second-best performance. During the same period of ex-President Ernesto Zedillo's term, the figure dropped 32 percent.

Up to June this year, the hydrocarbon sector has received the highest amount of investment, with 11 percent more than in the same period last year.
