Mexico sees farm exports to China rise

Mexico expects its shipments of agricultural products to China to increase 100 percent next year as Chinese consumers’ appetite grows for imported food and more products are approved to enter China, a Mexican government official said.

Jose Calzada, secretary of agriculture, said the estimate of a 100 percent increase next year as Mexico was based on permission for Mexico to export white corn to the China market.
