Mexico steps up electricity sales to Guatemala

Mexico is increasing electricity sales to Guatemala, the first step towards a Central American electricity market which would cover the region from Mexico to Colombia.
Mexico started selling electricity to Guatemala two years ago. Last year, sales reached $50 million.
Now the two countries have agreed for Mexico to sell 30 more megawatts, which means investing some $25 million in infrastructure.
