Mexico's bloody war on avocados

Uruapan, in central Mexico, is known as the global capital of avocados. Over the past couple of years, Uruapan has turned into one of Mexico's most dangerous cities, with 297 killings in 2018 alone.

Bur right now just one avocado can cost as much as $1.30 in US stores, a price that has raised interest from criminal gangs, DW report.
