Millicom aims to expand in Colombia with Tigo brand

Sweden's Millicom announced plans to expand its cellular phone business in Colombia.

Millicom, already well known in Central America for its cellular and TV Tigo brand, specializes in doing business in emerging markets.

Its business partner in Colombia is EPM, a joint-venture that has proven to be successful in the past and is important for the future, according to Millicom's director general, Hans-Holger Albrecht.
