MINERS: Guatemala green light for two companies

The government of Guatemala has authorized two international mining companies to start working in the country.

Russia's Solway Investment Group will operate under its subsidiary Compañía Guatemalteca de Níquel, while Canada's Tahoe Reosurces will work through its subsidiary Minera San Rafael.

Both companies received licenses for 25 years, and are expected to create some 3,000 jobs and generate $65 million in taxes.
