MINERS: Infinito Gold sues Costa Rica for $1 billion

Canadian mining company Infinito Gold has announced it would file a lawsuit against Costa Rica unless the government fails to allow the company to continue work in the Crucitas project.

Anabel González, Costa Rica's trade minister, received a letter from Infinito stating that the government breached several aspects of the free trade agreement between the two countries.

"We believe our investment is guaranteed, and we are prepared to make sure it stays that way regardless of the consequences," said an Infinto spokesperson.
