More Nicaraguan drivers acquire auto insurance

The Nicaraguan insurance industry reported an 11 percent year-on-year increase in auto insurance in the first half of the year.

Premiums totaled $14.7 million through June, compared with $13.2 million a year earlier.

Companies in Nicaragua offer both fully comprehensive auto insurance as well as third-party policies.
