More than half of Latin America has internet connection

Some 55 percent of people who live in Latin America were connected to the internet in 2015, about 20 percent more than five years ago, according to a study by ECLA, the UN economic commission for the region.

The countries where access to the internet had most improved were Guatemala, Nicaragua and El Salvador. But Costa Rica is by far the leader in connectivity.
