Mystery over announcement of cancelled tender for Panama’s Metro Bus project

Mystery surrounds the decision by Panama’s transport authorities to cancel the tender for the financial administration of the Metro Bus project.

Last Friday, the authorities rejected all four bids and told the companies that the contract would have to be redrawn.

The change will mean a delay in the project’s timetable. The Metro Bus had been expected to be launched in December by the first group of 120 buses.
