Netherlands eyes Honduran organic produce

 

The Netherlands has asked Honduras to increase its production of 100 percent organic products.

Honduras currently exports coffee, ornamental plants, African palm oil and melon, but could boost its sales with more organic products as it has great agricultural potential, said Hans Buhrs, director or the Netherlands economic and business affairs for Central America.

In order to help Honduras reach its full potential, non-governmental organization SCOPEinsight will launch a program to give technical support to farmers in Honduras and other Central American countries.
