New Costa Rican airport would cost $5 billion

Plans for a new airport at Orotina in Costa Rica would generate a big volume of business, ranging from construction and operation to new road and rail connections, tourism and farming.

The $5 billion cost would be in line with similar projects elsewhere in the world and assuming 10 million passengers a year.
