New Goodyear plant in Mexico to start operations in 2017

Goodyear’s new $550-million manufacturing plant in the northern Mexican state of San Luis Potosí will begin operations in 2017.

The plant is expected to produce 6 million tires per year, and cover 30 percent of the Mexican car manufacturing sector’s demand.

The San Luis Potosí plant is Goodyear’s first plant in the Americas in 25 years.
