New Guatemala gold mine to begin this year

A new gold mine project called Progreso VII Derivada in Guatemala is set to begin operations by the end of the year.

The mine is expected to produce a total of 57,800 ounces of gold, or 200 tons per day.

The mine is expected to operate for at least seven years.
