New locks for Panama to cost $16 billion

 

A fourth set of locks for the updated Panama Canal would cost $16 billion, said the canal’s administrator, Jorge Luis Quijano.

“The third set of locks s under construction, but we believe a fourth set would make us more competitive,” Quijano said.
