New York City opens tourism promotion office in Mexico

New York's tourism agency, NYC & Company, on Tuesday announced plans to open a promotional office in Mexico City.

Mexico is already the city’s 10th largest international market and the number of travelers from the country was expected to reach 400,000 in 2012, up from 192,000 in 2005, the agency said.

NYC & Company said it plans to invest millions on the venture, though the agency said it’s too early to put an price tag on the effort.
