Nicaragua agriculture seen growing 4.7 percent

Nicaragua's agriculture sector maintains its 4.7 percent growth forecast for the 2014-2015 season.

The positive figure is maintained despite other sectors, such as livestock, reporting irreparable losses due to a drought that has hit the country.

Each year the country's agricultural sector grows, and even though there is a late harvest for corn, beans and peanuts, the forecast is positive, said Michael Healy, president of the Nicaraguan agricultural producers' association.
