Nicaragua closer to becoming ALADI member

Wednesday, April 16, 2014

Nicaragua is moving closer to becoming a member of the Latin American Integration Association, ALADI, a regional bloc that will provide the Central American country with the opportunity to expand its export markets.

Current members of ALADI are Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, México, Paraguay, Panama, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.

One of the requirements Nicaragua has to fulfil is to negotiate market access accords with four member nations.
