Nicaragua earmarked as a major prospect for Canadian investors in mining

Nicaragua obtained favorable investment prospects after taking part in a meeting with the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada last week.
Nicaragua's mining sector created $110 million in direct investment during 2011, and earned more than $350 million in exports.
During the meeting, Nicaragua was highlighted for having competitive advantages, such as a good legal framework, abundant natural resources and preferential access to the largest markets in the world.
