Nicaragua earns $438 million in coffee exports

Nicaragua's 2010-2011 coffee harvest generated a 36.6 percent in export earnings compared with the previous cycle.

Export sales from the harvest, which ran for the year through September, came to $438 million.

The United States, Venezuela and Germany were the most important buyers of Nicaragua's coffee.
